The Short Term Mission Story
Often impugned as "wishionaries" involved in "baptized tourism," short-term mission workers have proven to be a great asset in helping reach the Muslim world for Christ. While the long-term missionary, with her/his experience and knowledge of the culture, is irreplaceable, sometimes the short-term mission worker can be involved in ways that are less "threatening," and perhaps more effective, with the locals. Often it has been the short term worker who has made the initial contact with a "seeker."
